Rev. Dr. Ted Wiard is a non-denominational minister as well as psychotherapist who specializes in grief, loss, and trauma. Ted received his master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis in grief and loss. He earned his doctorate in Organizational Leadership focused on leadership behaviors in the midst of change. Twenty years ago, Ted co-founded Golden Willow Retreat with his wife Marcella, and continues to be the CEO of Golden Willow Retreat, an emotional healing sanctuary focused on grief and trauma. Golden Willow Retreat is located in Arroyo Hondo, NM. In addition, he is the director of the Grief Trauma and Renewal program at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico as well as the clinical director of Rio Grande Treatment for substance use disorders. He is a public speaker, author (Witnessing Ted: The Journey to Potential through Grief and Loss), therapist, minister, and a person whose personal and professional experiences had led to a passion to be a leader in the field of emotional recovery during times of transition and transformation.
